ITG America Attends SF Startup Weekend EDU: Next Gen Schools Event

ITG America was given the chance to look into the crystal ball and see the possible future of education. Silicon Schools Fund, Zynga.org and Startup Weekend presented a look into reinventing school as we know it and gave them a glimpse of what is coming for our schools. During this seminar educators, business leaders and education technology experts from all over came together in order to find better ways to educate the children of the future.

ITG Drives the Private Sector to a New Level of Integration

The signing ceremony was witnessed by a crowd of parties headed by ITG’s President and CEO – Mr. Walid Tahabsem, and General Manager – Mr.Akram Khrais – from IBC.

Oklahoma State Pre-approves ITG AMERICA to Offer EduWave SIS to K-12 Districts throughout the State

ITG  America  –  a leading  expert  in  the  global  Education  Technology  market  – announced that its Education Solution; EduWave®  has been selected by the State of  Oklahoma,  Office  of  Management   and  Enterprise  Services  (OMES),  as  a preapproved Student Information System (SIS) vendor to offer its solution for all K-12 Schools and Districts.

The signed Master Agreement with OMES will provide ITG AMERICA with the opportunity to seek out School Districts in the State of Oklahoma  and offer EduWave  SIS with all its features and capabilities through a Cloud based solution.

ITG 2014: New Provisions, New Horizons

Integrated Technology Group (ITG) – a global IT solution provider and leading expert in Education Technology – has recently held its general assembly to review 2013 achievements and mandate for the creation of the new strategic vision for 2014. The Assembly has been hosted in the Intercontinental Hotel Amman. ITG’s President and CEO – Mr. Walid Tahabsem -, VPs and Directors have featured ITG corporate milestones, strategies and business development for the upcoming year.

Tahabsem started the meeting by welcoming the audience and commenting: “As we look ahead toward the future, we reassert our commitment to continue the work we’ve done for almost 25 years in serving our clients with the best solutions and services, meeting future demands for global mobility in ways we can only begin to imagine today.”

During the ceremony, the VP’s and directors have presented their annual report for 2013, which, as they explained, summarizes the strategic plan and Action report of each department of the company during the past year and serves as a reference for the work in which the company was involved in. In addition, they have clearly discussed 2014 mission statement, tactics and directions to reach their short- and long-term goals for the upcoming years.

Mr. Ali Al-Saadi, Executive Vice President at ITG, has also commented: “Our loyal and capable employees are the fuel of the company, and without them we would never have achieved such proficiency and expertise.” With that being said, ITG employees have shared their experiences in the company and communicated their opinions with the committee as to implement them in line with company’s policies, they also engaged in a very fruitful discussions and were looking forward to company’s continuous growth in the near future.

ITG: Google Trends Shows EduWave in the Top List

According to Google trends, ‘Noor’ project, which is based on EduWave platform, was ranked first place for the most searched word in Saudi Arabia for 2013. Instagram, Office of the Ombudsman, ‘Ramadan Series’, Syrian ‘Free Army’, ‘Corona’ virus, Ministry of Housing, Samsung S4, Star Academy ‘9’ and ‘Rains in Tabuk’ were ranked second to tenth, respectively.

“These results parallel the trends shown in Google annual global zeitgeist report” said Director Professional Services, Mohammad Wajeh. “As education technologies continues to trend up, decision makers around the world are gaining confidence in implementing technology in schools, colleges, and universities.”

‘Noor’ the biggest educational project across the region, had reached more than 12 million users in 2013, Mr. Wajeh assured on that by adding: “Through ‘Noor’ project, we have reached over 37,000 public and private schools”, “Millions of student records were obtained through the system with a huge number of transactions reaching more than 21 billion transactions during the academic year 2013.” He also added: “Our geographical coverage doesn’t only include schools inside Saudi Arabia; it also covers Saudi’s schools in U.K, China, Spain, Germany, Russia, Malaysia, Austria, France, Turkey, Italy and Morocco.”

In Addition, ‘Noor’ had also covered other educational areas including supervision and guidance, counseling and training, school transportation and teachers affairs, thereby expanding the scope of functions and beneficiaries.

It’s worth mentioning that ‘Noor’ project, which is based on ITG’s educational solution ‘EduWave’, had already won the e-Government Achievement Award for educational management from the e-Government Program ‘Yesser’ – to provide the best service to members of the community (government – people). At the same time the Saudi Ministry of Education had won an international award from the United Nations (UN) in the field of telecommunications, information technology and e-Government services, the e-Learning Application Award for its ‘Noor’ system, that reflects the great benefits that the Saudi e-Government services had reached in serving millions of beneficiaries. This award is an incentive for other countries to shift to the information society.

Google - the world’s biggest web search engine - released its annual global zeitgeist report, highlighting 2013's most searched for terms. Google announced “Noor” project as the most searched word in Saudi Arabia for 2013.
