E-Learning Africa is the key networking event for ICT enhanced education and training in Africa. Bringing together high-level policy makers, decision makers and practitioners from education, business and government, eLearning Africa 2016 was taking place from 24 – 26 May in Cairo, Egypt. the eLearning Africa conference is a must for those who want to develop multinational and cross-industry contacts and partnerships, as well as enhance their knowledge, expertise and abilities. ELearning Africa takes place in a different African country each year, from 68 countries gathered during the three conference days at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 83% of the participants came from sub-Saharan Africa The conference program featured the work of 249 speakers addressing all forms of technology-enhanced learning and including a rich mix of themes, topics and a variety of session formats. Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser ElKady on Tuesday 24/5/2016 opened the 11th international conference on ICT for development, education and training; eLearning Africa (ELA) 2016, under the theme “Making Vision Reality”. The conference was hosted by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
An exhibition and demonstration area accompanies the program, where leading international eLearning manufacturers, suppliers and service providers present their latest products and services. Every year, participants evaluate the exhibition as a critical meeting point for professional interaction within the conference.
Integrated Technology Group was there as an exhibitor in booth #17. During the conference, ITG was exhibiting its innovative educational platform EduWave® and its e-content development services, and shared its vision and experience with conference participants from over 50 countries from Africa and other parts of the world. Egypt’s minister of CIT, Mr. ElKady, visited the booth and enjoyed a demo of EduWave given by ITG’s representatives. The booth was being attended by members of ITG Jordan and ITG Egypt.
